Unhelpful ‘helping’ from social media sites

Oh no... bright lightsHmmm… facebook has decided to tell me what I may find interesting or not. WordPress is giving me advice on better blogging. They have referred me to ‘daily post’ for inspiration. Well, I thought… let’s give it a try. Click.

There I find ‘what is your favourite day of the week and why?’. This is supposed to be inspiring? It reminds me of a primary school assignment – write about your holiday – which, translated, means write something that’s sure to bore the pants off your teacher. Hmmm… favourite day of the week? What if I don’t have one? Or if I were to pick one perhaps I’d upset the other six days of the week. They may then gang up on me.

Ah but not all their suggestions are that dull. I do like this one: What person, real or fictional, living or dead, would you want to share a foxhole with if you were on a battlefield?

The answer to that is easy – Andrew. I’ll leave it up to you to decide whether that’s sweet because I want to be with my partner or whether because if the enemy came, I can run faster than him!

  1. I agree–if you need that much help browsing FB, you should probably go read a book, it’s much easier, and as for WordPress suggestions, if you have that much difficulty coming up with blogging ideas, you should probably sit this one out.
