Take a test drive

I wanted to give the toner based images for next week’s self-portrait class a test drive. They will be in colour, but had a go with a photocopy. The transfer was incomplete, one of the random things that I love about the technique. I never know what is going to get lost in the process, but enjoy taking advantage of the missing parts.

Don’t think that there’s any deliberate selection of imagery here. It was a combination of… papers that happened to already be out, combined with choosing a very neutral palette.

No matter. I find the end result interesting as my eye tends to follow a squiggle line through it… much like a river bend.
