Storybook page 2
Further to Ursula’s article, I have to stress that the idea of continuing on a story altered art book is proving more of a challenge than I first thought. I am struggling to complete this page and have simply left in on the floor in the living room for a while, hoping that inspiration will strike. (I leave things on the floor so they leap out at me as I walk past them each day). The left hand page contains a high area of plain but heavily textured colour, plus a cake. I like the cake, but what has it got to do with anything? On the right hand page I’ve been avoiding covering up those swirly biscuits and the spoon, but perhaps titanium white is calling them? Hmm… and I dislike the way the words stick out as though they have been stuck on the page. That’s probably because they have been stuck on. Needless to say my integration efforts have not achieved the desired effect!
